Dr. Riaz Rayek
Dr. Riaz Rayek’s passion as a dentist is to make patients look and feel their best. He has been practicing dentistry in Fairfax and Burke for almost ten years and earned a reputation for warmth and care that is unsurpassed. He has been an active member of the dental community, and has been working diligently to expand and enhance the practice of dentistry through countless hours of continuing education and community outreach. read more
Dr. Eun Hye Lee
Eun Hye Lee , D.D.S, M.S., is a board eligible prosthodontist. She specializes in implant restoration, esthetic, and reconstructive dentistry.
Dr. Lee earned her dental degree from University of Maryland, Baltimore- Baltimore College of Dental Surgery, and received specialty certification and a Master of Science degree in prosthodontic dentistry from University of Texas Health Center at Houston, Dental Branch. read more
Dr. Nassir Barekzi
Since 1998, Dr. Barekzi has been working at creating Virginia’s best smiles. First, he worked as a dental assistant while attending college at James Madison University, then during dental school at The Medical College of Virginia, and now as a partner at Smiles at Reston Town Center. read more
Dr. Arousha Jahangiri

Serena Burns – Office Manager
Serena has been a part of the Smiles team since September 2002. She grew up in California and moved to the East Coast in 1996. Loves music, dancing, karaoke, her husband and two beautiful children.
Serena’s business and organizational skills help our front and back office run efficiently. Her ability to multitask and her graceful way of taking on stressful situations make her a great asset to our family.
Caren Holmberg – Business Administrator
After growing up in PA, Caren moved to VA 24 years ago to marry her husband, Michael. They have a daughter, Ashley who has graduated from GMU.
Caren has been in the dental industry for over 20 years and has worked in many aspects of the field. She currently works as Dr. Rayek’s business administrator.
Juli Petersen – Hygiene Coordinator
When you come in to Smiles at Fairfax Corner, the first delightful person you’ll meet is Juli. She has been in the dental field for 5 years and part of our team for 2 years. Juli loves to provide an immediate warm and welcome environment, as well as help our patients maintain some of the healthiest mouths around.
Susie Hernandez – Scheduling Coordinator
Susie Hernandez joined our team in 2010 and has been in dentistry for 2 years previously. She loves spending her time outdoors, reading books, and dancing. Her love for dentistry comes from seeing patient’s happy smiles! Her enthusiasm and positive attitude is a great attribute to our team!

Kathy Needham
I am a native New Yorker and a graduate of the Fones School of Dental Hygiene at the University of Bridgeport, CT.
With my husband, I have had the pleasure of exploring the west while we lived in Phoenix, Arizona for four years, and the south while living in Knoxville, TN for two years. I chose Dental Hygiene as a career because it combines my interests in health, science, and working in a small office environment to provide patient care at a personal level.
Hygiene has provided me the flexibility to successfully combine a home and work life. Raising our two daughters has been my proudest accomplishment.
Now that both our girls are away at school I look forward to this new stage of life, having more time to read, bike, hike, spend more time in the yard, and explore more of the art and history that the D.C. area has to offer.
My favorite book is “To Kill a Mockingbird.” Depending on my mood, my favorite movie is “Rear Window,” “Ferris Bueler’s Day Off,” and “Life moves pretty fast. If you don’t stop and look around once in awhile, you could miss it.”
Reena Khosla, R.D.H.
I was born in Warren, Pennsylvania. I grew up in Maryland, got married 12 years ago and moved to Northern Virginia. I have a 7-year-old daughter entering 2nd grade.
I graduated from University of Maryland with a Bachelors degree in Microbiology and went on to Howard University for hygiene school and graduated in 1994.
Kat Guerra, R.D.H. – Dental Hygienist
The Dental Careers class in Chantilly High School helped shape Kat’s path to the world of dentistry. She started her career in the dental field as a dental assistant in 2000. She graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Dental Hygiene at Old Dominion University in 2005.

Karen Nguyen-Tran
My name is Karen Nguyen-Tran. I was born in Saigon, Vietnam. I came to the U.S. when I was 8 years old. I did not know a word of English. Our family settled in Fairfax and I went to school and lived in Fairfax, Virginia for over 30 years.

Melissa Weiss
Melissa grew up in a military home, allowing her to experience various cities on the east coast. She was originally born in Brooklyn, NY but has resided in Northern Virginia with her family for the past 14 years.
Neda Samuels
Neda has been a dental assistant with Smiles at Fairfax Corner since 2009, and has been in the dental industry for nine years. Her hands-on approach and ‘no job too big, no job too small’ attitude keeps her work fresh, exciting, and extremely gratifying.
Alyssa Tryon
Hi! My name is Alissa Tryon, a Northern Virginia resident since birth. I have been working as a dental assistant since 2008 and have enjoyed my time here at Smiles at Fairfax Corner. When I am not working hard on patient’s teeth, I am spending time with my friends and family, or continuing my education.
Stephanie Collins
Stephanie is a native of the Northern VA area and resides in Potomac Falls. She is a graduate of Northern Virginia Community College and is currently enrolled at George Mason University.
